Xceed Group Builds Worldpay Datacentre in Just Four Months

Summary

After 149 skilled workers joined Worldpay from RBS Group as part of the company’s acquisition, it quickly became apparent that the company had a significant gap in expertise which needed filling before their datacentre project could get underway. In just four months, Xceed Group project managed and built Worldpay’s datacentre infrastructure to support a new, online payment system. Xceed Group was the first partner Worldpay engaged for its datacentre discovery phase. The two companies worked closely together to deliver Worldpay’s datacentre infrastructure in just four months.

I’ve never considered Xceed Group’s team to be a vendor or supplier. As far as I’m concerned, Xceed Group is a
partner, and the way their consultants have worked alongside our team underlines that.

Benefits

In the space of just four months, Worldpay and Xceed Group were able to deliver the complete physical datacentre infrastructure, in record time.

  • Helped build a new datacentre infrastructure to support a new online payment system
  • Worked as a partner on the infrastructure journey, from strategy and planning through to planning and execution
  • Provided leadership advice to selection of hardware, strategy and dayto-day management of the project

The entire team has been a great cultural fit throughout the process, and they’ve worked alongside us to give us
everything from leadership advice to selection of hardware, strategy and dayto-day management of the project. It’s a partnership approach, and one of the keys to the success of our relationship has been Xceed Group’s ability to sit as part of my leadership team and provide clear, succinct and strong input wherever it has been required.
